2011 Season - Week 4
BUMS Players Hall of Fame
The shortlist of nominees for the 2011 Hall of Fame is attached with 12 players and coaches up for consideration. Since 2002 we’ve inducted 40 players. And now it’s time to put 4 more players into the Marbled Halls based on 3 criteria; scoring, impact and enjoyment provided. Attached are the resumes for the dozen nominated men. As always select your favourite 5 players (in order) and get them back to me by Sunday October 30th, which is Trading Day 1. The 4 highest scorers will join the selected band of BUMS Hall of Fame players that includes last years inductees Antonio Gates, Dallas Clark, Reggie Wayne, Isaac Bruce and Mike Alstott.
September’s Non BUMS Team
Following last weeks announcement of the BUMS Team of September, here’s the undrafted version. Scoring 171 points (enough to top either league) all of these players could have been drafted by you for $6.5m:- HC Chan Gailey (Bills) $0.5m 18pts, K Neil Rackers (Texans) $1m 36, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (Bills) $1m 27, RBs Darren Sproles (Saints) $0.5m 18, Willis McGahee (Broncos) $0.5 12, WRs Wes Welker (Patriots) $2m 24, Robert Meacham (Saints) $0.5m 18 and Torrey Smith (Ravens) $0.5m 18pts.
Trading Day 1
Tennessee Receiver Kenny Britt was placed on IR last week leaving David Stamp with only 6 active players. Trading Day 1 is prior to week 8’s games at HQ on Sunday 30th October and I’m sure Dave, for one, can’t wait.
Devin Hester is Special
Against Carolina Hester returned a kick off 70 plus yards to set up a TD but that wasn’t the big news. He followed that with a 69 yard punt return for a TD, his 11 punt returns is a new NFL record passing former record holder Eric Metcalfe. BUMS on Seats.
Chief is on his way to New Zealand until Trading Day. Over the next three weeks Johnnie will host on Sunday for the Sky doubleheaders and the Monday and Tuesday evening games will either be in Harrow or Perivale. Let Johnnie and H know if you want to attend any of these games.
